Interviews on Spiritual Matters — Dhikr, Prayer and Healing

·9 min read

Statements by Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca and other scholars: The virtue of vocal Dhikr, conditions for Du'a acceptance, and Du'as and Dhikrs that heal heart ailments.

Loud Dhikr and Its Virtues

As stated by Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca in one of his talks, loud (jahri) Dhikr is a command from Allah. It is encouraged in the Quran with the command, 'Remember your Lord.' Establishing Dhikr gatherings and performing collective Dhikr strengthens the heart and provides spiritual elevation. It is narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed Dhikr with his companions.

Conditions for Du'a Acceptance

As emphasized in interviews, sincerity, lawful sustenance, and abstaining from sins are essential for Du'a acceptance. Du'a in absence (praying for someone else) is more accepted. Not neglecting morning and evening Du'as and sending Salawat are means for Du'a acceptance.

Healing Du'as and Dhikr

The Du'a of Prophet Ayyub (peace be upon him): 'Annī massaniyaḍ-ḍurru wa anta arḥamur-rāḥimīn' (Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful). This Du'a is recited during illness and distress. Surahs Al-Fatiha, Ayatul Kursi, and Al-Mu'awwidhatayn are recited for Ruqyah. As a Dhikr, the name 'Ya Shafi' is recited frequently.

Daily Spiritual Routine

  • Istighfar and Salawat after Fajr Salah.
  • Recitation of 'La ilaha illallah' throughout the day.
  • Healing Du'as before sleeping at night. These practices provide both spiritual and physical healing.

The Common Message of Scholars

Dhikr and Du'a are the most powerful spiritual remedies in Islam. When performed regularly, they purify the heart and remove distress. The advice of scholars: Continue with sincerity; may Allah grant healing and peace.
